Finding Feeds

So, let’s ask the big question..

How Do I Find Good Feeds?

Finding feeds is very similar to finding good links to download. You have to find someone who is kind enough to publish them. In our case, find someone who is kind enough to publish an RSS feed which contains interesting content.

The good news is that many standardly used platforms such as forums and blogs automatically publish an RSS feed of everything that’s posted in them. Since blogs and forums are usually very good sources for download links, there’s a good chance the blog or forum you already follow already has an RSS feed. The trick is getting the address for this feed.

Blogs Powered by WordPress

If the blog address is http://superblog.com the RSS feed is usually located at http://superblog.com/feed/

Just add /feed/ after the blog home address. http://stuff.site.com/blog becomes http://stuff.site.com/blog/feed/

If a WordPress feed is giving you an Error status while syncing, try to remove the slash (/) at the end, or add a slash (/) if you haven’t already

Blogs Powered by Google Blogger

If the blog address is http://superblog.com the RSS feed is usually located at http://superblog.com/feeds/posts/default

Just add /feeds/posts/default after the blog home address. http://stuff.site.com/blog becomes http://stuff.site.com/blog/feeds/posts/default

Forums Powered by vBulletin

If the forum address is http://superforum.com the RSS feed is usually located at http://superforum.com/forum/external.php

Just add /forum/external.php after the forum home address.

Ok, after digging in your source code, I find out the problem : my posts didn’t have a valid timestamp because my rss feed didn’t have pubDate attribute.

    Thanks for your plugin!
